How to convert TikTok to MP3
- Copy the video link. In the TikTok app, tap Share, then Copy link.
- Paste it above. Press Download. The MP3 option moves to the top of the list and is highlighted.
- Save the MP3. Press Save on the MP3 · audio only row. The file goes to your downloads.
Why the TikTok MP3 is so clean
Many TikTok videos come with their sound stored as a separate MP3 file. When that's the case, SnapFrom passes that file straight to you. Nothing is re-recorded or squeezed again, so it sounds exactly as it does in the app.
TikTok doesn't always say how big the sound file is, so the list may show "Size shown when saving". Don't worry: these files are tiny. In our test, the sound from an 11-second video was a 183 KB MP3.
If a video doesn't have that separate file, the MP3 option won't appear. You'll see a short note instead, and you can still save the video.

Using your MP3
- iPhone: the file goes to the Files app. Open it to play it, or add it to a music app that supports files.
- Android: find it in your Download folder. Most music players pick it up automatically.
- Computer: double-click it in your downloads folder, or drag it into your music library.
Want a ringtone? Many phones let you set an MP3 as a ringtone in the sound settings. Short TikTok sounds work well because they're already brief.
About music rights
A lot of TikTok sounds are commercial songs. Saving one for personal listening is common, but uploading it elsewhere, selling it or using it in your own videos may need the rights holder's permission. When in doubt, use the original track from a music service.
Original voice-overs belong to the creator who recorded them. Ask before you reuse their voice in your own content.
If the MP3 doesn't appear
- "No MP3 for this post": TikTok didn't provide a sound file for this video.
- "Private or needs a login": the video isn't public.
- Save stopped working: Save buttons last 30 minutes. Paste the link again.
- Link to a sound page: links like tiktok.com/music/… aren't supported. Open a video that uses the sound and copy that video's link.
