How to convert a Facebook video to MP3
- Copy the link. On the video, tap Share, then Copy link. Reel links and fb.watch links work too.
- Paste it above. Press Download. The MP3 option is placed first and highlighted.
- Save. Press Save on MP3 · audio only. Our server makes the MP3, then your download starts.
How the conversion works
Facebook doesn't offer audio files, only videos. So SnapFrom does one extra step: it fetches the public video, takes out the sound and turns it into an MP3 using a high-quality setting. The video copy is then deleted.
Because the MP3 is made when you press Save, its size isn't known in advance. You'll see "Size shown when saving", and your browser shows the real size once the download starts. In our test, a 25-second public Reel became an MP3 of about 580 KB.
Longer videos take a little longer, since the whole video has to be read first. Please keep the page open until the download begins.

Which videos work?
Only videos anyone can watch without logging in. Look for the small globe icon next to the post's date: a globe means public.
- Works: public Pages, public Reels, posts shared with "Public", fb.watch links.
- Doesn't work: friends-only posts, private groups, live videos while they're live.
We never ask for your Facebook password, and we don't use other accounts to reach private videos.
MP3 or video?
Need the picture as well? The same list also has the video as MP4, or you can use the Facebook video downloader. Choose MP3 when you only care about listening, as the file is much smaller.
Playing your MP3
- iPhone and iPad: it's saved in the Files app, under Downloads. Tap it to play, or open it in a podcast or music app that accepts files.
- Android: look in the Download folder. Music apps usually find it on their own.
- Computer: open it from your downloads folder, or add it to your music library.
Tip: rename long talks with the speaker and date right after saving. It makes them much easier to find later.
If something goes wrong
- "We couldn't make an MP3": the video may have no sound, or the conversion failed. Try once more.
- "Took too long": very long videos can time out. Try again at a quieter time.
- "Private or needs a login": the post isn't public.
- Save stopped working: Save buttons last 30 minutes. Paste the link again.

Is it free?
Yes, with no account and no limits beyond normal fair use.
Can I convert Facebook Reels to MP3?
Yes. Public Reels work, and so do our Facebook Reels downloads if you want the video.
Why isn't the size shown?
The MP3 is made only when you press Save, so we can't know its size before then.
Can I save audio from a live stream?
Not while it's live. Once the stream ends and is posted publicly, it can usually be saved.
Do you keep the files?
No. The video and MP3 are deleted after sending. Read our privacy policy.
